Overview

TaxEzy Solutions is a tax and accounting practice site that turns complex compliance — seafarer ITR, Singapore XBRL, Indian GST — into a clear path to consultation. I designed and shipped the product experience: messaging for three distinct audiences, service pages, practical tax tools like the NRI Days Calculator, and a conversion funnel built around free consultations.

The Problem

  • Mariners, Singapore companies, and Indian taxpayers all need tax help, but their rules, documents, and anxiety points are completely different.
  • Generic accounting websites bury niche expertise (DTAA, SFRS, maritime NRI status) behind vague marketing copy.
  • Prospects want fast answers — stay-day estimates, service fit, next steps — before they commit to a call.
03

The Solution

  • A focused marketing product with clear service tracks: Seafarers Tax, Singapore Accounting & Tax, and Indian Tax & GST.
  • Practical tools such as the NRI Days Calculator so visitors can self-serve early planning before booking a consultation.
  • Trust-first UX: social proof, FAQs, transparent process, and multiple conversion paths (consultation, WhatsApp, contact).
04

Architecture

  • Content-driven Next.js site with a small set of high-intent routes (services, tools, about, contact) optimized for search and speed.
  • Calculator Hub pattern: tools live as lightweight, focused flows that share layout and analytics with the rest of the site.
  • Conversion layer wired throughout — sticky CTAs, consultation forms, and WhatsApp — without slowing core page loads.
  • SEO foundations: metadata, structured content, and clear information architecture for India / Singapore / mariner queries.

Engineering Decisions

Lead with expertise, not a feature dump

The homepage sells clarity and niche credibility first — mariners, Singapore, India — then services and proof. That order matched how prospects actually decide who to hire.

Ship tools as product, not blog widgets

Putting calculators in a dedicated Tools surface made them discoverable, reusable, and easier to extend without cluttering service pages.

Challenges

One site, three audiences

Copy and navigation had to serve mariners, Singapore operators, and Indian taxpayers without feeling generic. I structured the IA around audience-specific service tracks while keeping a single brand and consultation funnel.

Tools that earn trust

A stay-day calculator only helps if the inputs and outputs are understandable. I kept the NRI Days flow short, labeled for sailing schedules, and connected results back to a clear next step with TaxEzy.

Lessons Learned

  • For professional services, trust and path-to-human matter more than flashy visuals.
  • Self-serve tools work when they reduce anxiety before the sales call — not when they try to replace advice.
  • Clear audience segmentation beats one-size-fits-all messaging every time.
